Florida '10: Epcot Center
This day proved to be one of the more disappointing days on our trip. Not because of the park or the rides, but for another simple reason. May 17th is Norway's Constitution day. A day celebrated with parades and marching bands in Norway. So we went to the Norwegian pavilion at the Epcot Center with great anticipation of maybe parttaking in a parade (I haven't attended one properly since junior high).
When we got there we got very disappointed, and we weren't alone in having that feeling. All the other Norwegian guests we met were also very disappointed, as was the Norwegian personal working at the pavilion.
It so happened there was no May 17th parade at Epcot that day. I had been told (by email from Epcot) that there would be several, but when we got there, there were none. Apparently a slip up by the non-Norwegian management.
We still had fun there, though. They had some nice rides (Mission: Space is very cool) and we had a delicious dinner at the Italian restaurant. Our Italian waiter actually thought I'd lived in Italy because he told me I had a perfect pronunciation of the dinner I ordered... not that I remember what it was called, though.
